BRONX, NY – Mustang Football Senior Ramon Jefferson marked National Signing Day this year by accepting an offer to play Division I NCAA football at the University of Maine. The star running back will play on a full scholarship starting in the summer.
A recently-published article in the Co-Op City Times boasted Jefferson’s records, which include rushing for more than 1,200 yards and scoring 23 touchdowns. He was a member of the All new York City and All Bronx teams in both 2015 and 2016, as well as being named to the New York State team. Over the course of his career at Truman, Jefferson logged 5,456 total yards and 52 total touchdowns.
Jefferson’s father Wayne Jefferson joined Principal Keri Alfano, Head Coach John Shepherd and the Mustang coaching staff for a signing ceremony in the school’s library.
