October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we would like to share information about the prevalence of relationship abuse amongst teens, statistics on parent-child communication, and the relationship spectrum.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month gives us an opportunity to mourn lives lost to family violence, to celebrate survival stories, and to raise awareness in our community while promoting healthy relationships and respect.

If anyone (students, staff, or family) would like to talk more about the work we do and what services are available from RAPP, please see your RAPP Coordinator, Erika Miller, in room 425A, or reach via phone (718)904-5422 or email, emiller11@schools.nyc.gov.

For further information, please check out loveisrespect.org, breakthecycle.org or futureswithoutviolence.org.
