BRONX, NY – For the first time in many years, Harry S Truman High School has published it’s newest edition of the “Truman Times.”
“It’s a much-needed forum for the school,” according to newspaper advisor, Ms. Ranisha Singh. “It gave the students a chance to become better writers and thinkers, and they’ve been so excited to see their names in print.”
The newspaper is the product of an after-school newspaper club. It features stories and photos of things happening in and around the school. The full-color paper also includes an editorial section where students weighed in on hot-button issues like parental involvement in education and the use of technology in the classroom.
“After seeing an issue of the physical newspaper, one that the school hasn’t published in years, I hope that more students become interested in joining our already wonderful staff,” Ms. Singh said.
